GAG ME.
with this.
Future union bosses in the making.
Yup, life sucks. Sometimes people lose their jobs
and class sizes grow because money doesn't grow on trees.
We all have to cut back sometimes.
It's called the cycle of life.
Weird how the world isn't perfect.
Poor, poor victims!
What? You didn't know the evil school district was out to get the students all along?!
Wuahahahhahahahaha! Wuaaaaaahahahahahhahaa!

Blog Suggestions Please
So today I decided to re-enter the world of blogging and I discovered that I can't stand any of my old blog designs so it's time to revamp. We SOOO need a fresh new look! Input: What do you want on JNAC? Color? Header?
We need a new header so can someone please email some pics they want me to use??? Or just email me one of you and I'll photoshop them together.
Also, I can make buttons for your other blogs if you want me to list them on this blog. I can also make it a grab button so you can post it on your other site for people to grab.
I added a new nav bar (look above this) with links to some of our fave sites. Should I add any other links to that site? Should I take any off?
So let me know what you want me to do to JNAC or if you want me to make a button to add for your personal sites.
Either that- or you can do it, I don't care. Either way- it's time for a change :)

P.S. I started a new book blog. It's just getting uo and online so there aren't any books yet, but I'm stoked about it! See it here.

What have I been up to...
Well hiking in the beautiful sunny desert definitely wasn't on the agenda this week but it has been sunny and atleast 60 this week which is awesome so we have been to the park a few times with some good friends. My life right now mainly consists of nursing, playing trains, fighting with Sage over Violin practice, Presidency meetings, school projects, and I am currently working on sewing Nora's blessing dress. I think I have hit my all time high for stress. I think about what I can cut out of my life to make it a little more simple but that is as far as I get. Tomorrow, the kids are spending the night at Grandma and Grandpa's and we get to go to the movie Avatar in 3D. I am also looking foward to a possible visit to the good old desert in March. If I do come it will be March 21-26. I am still waiting for Nicole to answer everyone's response about her due date. Please give us more details.

I have been out of town the past three weekends and after work during weekdays, Q and I have been renovating the mortuary apartment. Who was it-some famous author-that said Spring was the most depressing time of the year because it is an illusion of false hope. Everything will eventually die anyway. Sounds like something Hemingway would have said. Maybe it was him.
Sorry about my blogging sabbatical. I'm working on getting back online but none of my pics or videos will upload. Dumb.
I did however, start a new book blog!!! So excited!

spring is in the air
Janna got a new table so her old one is on loan at my house. Anika likes to hide out underneath it. Sometimes I even get her a pillow.
What have you people been up to this last week?
We've been on a few hikes while trying to make use of this gorgeous weather. When I see the first shoots of green grass int he desert, it always shocks me. I'm talking shock. It's like I know it's coming but still... spring is always a miracle. It's like what? It's happening again? It's really happening! New life. I like it.

If I would have known that Alana was teaching CTR I would have rented a whole bus full of sticky children.

Slow Stabbing
My CTR class had 11 kids in it today instead of the usual 3 or 4.
It could only be described as a slow stabbing.

Alana Without Doxylamine Succinate
When I'm trying to kick the Unisom habit, the thinking habit returns. What a pest! Let me rest!
Tonight I've been thinking about a lot of things.
You all know that I am a 'hit and miss' gift-giver. If I'm feeling it, I'll gift. I thought about purchasing this book for Nicole last year. I hadn't read it for years but picked it up again one evening and it left me pondering like it always had. (Also desperately trying not to infer sacrilege.) In the shower. Or when I was supposed to be fully immersed in a floor puzzle with Anika. Or when I should have been sleeping.
When I decided to go buy the book for Nicole at Little Professor, I knew it would be tricky getting a parking spot. The entire way over there I planted the seed-thought that the spot right in front would be available. I pulled right in. I pushed open the glass doors and in one fell swoop my eyes darted to the very back of the store. Before even stepping inside, I could see the familiar feather cover (just one copy) perched on the top shelf. It was illuminated and waiting for me thirty feet away. No looking. No searching.
I hadn't thought about that in a while. It makes me giggle.
Morning is going to hurt like it always does. Even more than thinking about the Adam of my soul. Or the seven depths of depth. What is it about my body and/or brain that makes it think it's nocturnal? What caused the hidden treasure to desire to be known?
It takes just half of a tiny blue tablet to knock my whirling dervish down.
But it's too late now.
I'm going to go to bed now to stare at the inside of my eyelids until Brandon's alarm goes off at 5:30 a.m. Goodnight.

Seriously people...
So what... You tell everyone you're quitting because you don't want to work this hard anymore and suddenly everyone's in a panic, like you tilted the globe off its access or something?
Then they find out you're pregnant and suddenly their world makes sense?
Like- no, of course she's not quitting because she doesn't want to work this hard. (nervous laughter inserted here). And for a minute there we thought someone was shaking the way things move and have always moved in pub ed...
...Like they can accept prego but can't process: I work too hard and I'm fed up with feeling like the only one who is working this hard so I'm taking matters into my own hands and no, I will not give my life up for this anymore no matter how good I am.
Is stay-at-home wife really THAT social-taboo in Utah?
"Oh- NOW we know why you're really quitting,"= BUGgy!
I want my STATEMENT making power back! Quitting isn't 1/2 so much fun now that everything let out a sigh of breath because they think it's because of the kid.
FYI: I would have done it anyway.
